May 1, 2006 -- Serco has been awarded a contract to provide Test and Evaluation services to the Navy Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center, Command and Intelligence division, in San Diego, CA. This contract has a base year and four one-year options totalling more than $19 million over the span of the contract.
Serco has been supporting SPAWAR Systems Center San Diego (SSC SD) and its predecessor organizations since 1989. This newest contract addition will allow Serco to provide Test and Evaluation as well acquisition support for new and emerging Naval Command and Control Systems. Engineering Strategic Business Unit Vice President, Kent Brown, commented, “This contract reconfirms our presence in, and commitment to, SSC SD and launches us into a new area (Command and Intelligence Division) within SSC SD. We are excited about the opportunity to expand our support to this valued customer."
