Serco’s Fleet Group Secures Three Contracts

April 28, 2006 - Serco has recently secured three key fleet contract renewals and a new contract win representing combined annual revenues of up to $10 million.

The group was awarded a major renewal with EoN US, which owns Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities, totaling $22.4 million over a seven year period. Serco maintains approximately 1,600 vehicles and equipment for the Midwest utility company. Serco was first awarded the fleet maintenance contract in March 2001.

Two contract renewals were awarded by Dayton Power and Light (DP&L) to Serco’s Fleet Group. The first contract is a three-year renewal of a maintenance contract. Serco has been serving the Fleet Maintenance division of DP&L since December 1998, managing maintenance on a fleet of 500 vehicles for the Ohio utility. A second renewal is for DP&L’s Fuel Services contract, which Serco has been supporting since November 2000.

The Fleet Group’s newest addition is the City of Dallas Fleet Maintenance contract, awarded recently at a total value of $16 million over five years. The City of Dallas has contracted out the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment class sanitation vehicles. Fleet’s team aims to win the trust of this customer and gain additional fleets with the City in subsequent years.
